This class is designed to work off of the principles and techniques taught in the LTAC Rifle Low-Light – Day One and Day Two classes. This class is not just about shooting under low light conditions. It is also about getting students experience with moving in the dark without the use of aids and then moving with Night Vision Devices. The students will shoot various drills, gaining experience and helping them along the path toward mastery. This will be accomplished using both flashlights and night vision devices. This class will include different operations, such as working with a partner and maneuvering through the woods without the aid of light. It will use a combination of paper, cardboard, and steel targets for the different drills.
We will start with a review of some of the basic concepts taught in prior classes, but this class is not intended for instruction. This is designed for students who already have experience working with Night Vision and Rifles. The major instruction takes place during the Day One and Day Two classes. This class is intended for students to get the most out of multiple reps and drills that aren’t possible in the other classes. There will be a round robin of drills designed to push the student to better understand how to use their low-light equipment. This class will have multiple jungle walk lanes, flat range drills, malfunction work, both passive and active drills, and others. There will be a location to zero/confirm zero your laser.
