Choose Your Own Apocalypse: Tabletop Staff Exercise
Choose Your Own Apocalypse: Tabletop Staff Exercise
In many of our classes, we talk about the importance of being mentally and physically prepared for whatever life throws at you. In this command and staff exercise, you will have the opportunity to wargame and plan out what you would do if a major event has occurred. You and your circles of family and friends need to take action to survive and endure the trials stemming from this event.
The format of this class will be based on the US Army doctrine for command and staff tabletop exercises. There will be multiple breakout sessions with different scenarios. Students will have the chance to make choices in each scenario, and deal with the consequences of those choices. Varied course criteria will be used to give a unique and dynamic training environment. These scenarios will all be conducted in a tabletop exercise with pen, paper and computer.
Students will arrive and be organized into groups by the instructors. This will be followed by an explanation of the parameters of the exercise. After the scenario is briefed, students will begin their problem-solving.
This workshop will be led by retired Green Berets.
