Austere Environment Survival Series: Urban Survival Skills
from $425.00

The Lodestone Training and Consulting Austere Environment Survival Series will help you learn skills and techniques that could help save your life.  You never know when you might find yourself in a situation you hadn’t planned for and there is no help on the way.   Whether it’s primitive skills needed to survive in the wilderness, or techniques to maneuver in a non-permissive urban environment, this series will help you be prepared.  There are some things you can’t learn from a book or playing a video game, they have to be experienced.

The two-day Urban Survival Skills class is an opportunity for you to learn firsthand about the principles and techniques of Urban Survival. This class will start with a review of your kit/bug-out bag.  We will lay everything out and discuss pros and cons of the items.  After packing the kits back up, we will move to an urban environment.  This will include multi-story buildings, streets and even tunnel systems.  Even though this will be a built-up area, it will be isolated for students and the class.  We will go over the pros and cons of selecting different locations for shelter.  Tools and different methods for precuring supplies will be discussed and then you will select and improve the location where you will be sleeping that night. That afternoon, students begin the first set of round-robin classes consisting of different basic, urban survival skills.  After dinner, we will do a walk in the dark and discuss night movement. In the morning, we will have breakfast and then start the second round-robin of urban survival skills. After lunch, we will finish the classes and take a walk with your kit/bug-out bag.  You will see real fast if it was worth it to pack that kitchen sink.

This class is designed to go along with the 72-Hour Kit Seminar, but is not required.
