Introduction to Big-Bore Long-Distance Marksmanship

Introduction to Big-Bore Long-Distance Marksmanship

$800.00

This course is an introduction to long-range marksmanship, designed to give you the skills to make accurate hits on target 1000 meters and everything in between. In the three days, we will cover ballistics, Minute of Angle (MOA), Milliradians (MILs), wind drift and wind calls, ammunition selection, scope selection and setup, long-range shooting fundamentals, gear options, and spotting techniques. This is a “big bore” course, so .308 Winchester and above is acceptable (examples are .308 WIN, 6.5 CREED, .300 WIN MAG, .338, etc.). You will be engaging targets out to 1000 meters, so having an optic with magnification is preferred. The course will begin with most of the first day in the classroom going over formulas, ballistics, ammunition selection, rifle setup, and wind calls and wind data for YOUR specific ammo. The rest of the course will be on the range, shooting known and unknown distances out to 1000 meters.
