The Rifle Marksmanship Foundation Series lays the groundwork for what we teach at Lodestone Training and Consulting. The courses provide an introduction to the 8 fundamentals of marksmanship and provide the student with a series of foundation drills to reinforce these fundamentals and ensure the student’s success. These classes are paced to the student’s level of experience, so that no matter what skill level the student arrives with, the entire class succeeds.
This class starts with foundation drills at a distance of 25m and less. These drills are designed for you to begin your mastery of running your rifle. We then start to back off and shoot different drills at 50, 75 and 100 meters. We will shoot using various positions at each distance. This class will help you learn to get the most out of your rifle using a combination of steel and paper targets. You will better understand what your weapon is capable of. This class is designed to bring you to the failure point, and help you work through it to confidence. This class offers the perfect opportunity for the student to refine their manipulation and utilization of a rifle and prepares them to use a rifle in the defense of themselves and their family. The speed of the class will be adjusted to the experience level of the participants.
Please come with your weapon already zeroed.
The day consists of 1-2 hours of classroom instruction, followed by live-fire instruction. There is a 30-60 minute lunch break, with lunch being provided by LTAC.
