The Rifle Combat Marksmanship Series of classes are the core of what we teach at Lodestone Training and Consulting. This course builds on the Rifle Marksmanship Foundation classes. In this series of classes, we teach shooting while moving and working in and around barricades. We want you to get off the X and become more comfortable with shooting ambidextrous. We introduce fighting from the ground and dynamic movement drills.
Day One starts with confirming Zero and then discussing what a real world zero is. We next begin turning movements followed by shooting while moving. We will finish up the day with dynamic drills.
Day Two is an introduction to the world of barricades. We start with ambidextrous shooting followed by slicing the pie. We then cover numerous techniques for working around, under, over and through barricades. We finish up the day with buddy drills.
Day Three This will be a full day of training with dynamic drills. Expect almost every drill to include movement. The shooting will be varied from extreme close range to 125 meters using a combination of paper, cardboard and steel targets. This day is about fighting, not playing video games. It will be physically demanding with many drills starting from the ground and having the students fight to their feet.
Most days consist of about 1 hour of classroom instruction, followed by live-fire instruction.
There is a 30-60 minute lunch break each day, with lunch being provided by LTAC.
