Master Class Series: Transition
Master Class Series: Transition
The LTAC Master Class Series is a Level Three selection of classes designed for the advanced shooter. In this small group setting of 5 or less, students will get more personalized attention on advanced concepts. Each of these classes were specially designed by the instructor to go into more depth, or teach information not covered in regular classes. This provides a more intimate training experience for the student, allowing for more growth. Students must have completed our Level Two Combat Marksmanship Series class, or equivalent, to attend.
Transition
This Master Class is taught by Jared.
This one-day course builds on the principles and concepts taught in our Level One and Two Rifle and Pistol classes. In a fight, the decision to transition to your secondary weapon should be smooth and instantaneous. We will spend the whole day refining this action and your decision-making process. By the end of the day, you will know when and where to move from your primary to your secondary weapon as you accomplish your own individual shooter solution.
The day will start with a classroom discussion on the principles of using two weapon systems together. We will move to the range and run a dynamic drill cold. After evaluating where each student is at, Jared will lead the class through fundamental drills for both systems. He will spend as much time explaining the ‘why’ as he does the ‘how’. Class will finish up with a series of drills that will push the student to the point of failure as they learn how to navigate their own personal shooter solution. Just because your rifle goes dry does not mean the right answer is to automatically draw your pistol. Just like the majority of our classes, we want you to be playing Chess while others are playing Checkers.
There is a 30-60 minute lunch break each day, with lunch being provided by LTAC.
