Introduction to Driving under Night Vision
Introduction to Driving under Night Vision
This four-hour class is an introduction to the principles and concepts of operating a vehicle at night with night vision devices. In extreme conditions or environments, it might be necessary to travel under black-out. This course will start with a classroom discussion on using night vision to drive under black-out conditions. We will then move to the vehicles being used for class. We will go through a step-by-step process on how to black out the exterior and interior of the vehicles for driving. Instructors will first demonstrate on a simple course the basics of driving under NVDs. Students will then drive the same course. After a brief After Action Review, students will then drive on an extended course under the direction of an instructor.
This is a highly specialized class and has a limited number of slots.
The evening will consist of one hour of classroom time and three hours of practical exercise.
