Radio Field Operations Seminar
Radio Field Operations Seminar
For those who have already built a communications plan and included radio as a key element, this class dives into the practical side of making radio operations reliable in the field. Participants will learn how to assemble functional go kits and apply radio strategies that align with their P.A.C.E. plan. This class will include step-by-step guidance on assembling kits that include radios, coaxial cable, antennas, and power solutions to keep equipment running in diverse conditions, how to design your kit around the Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency framework, ensuring your radio resources fit seamlessly into your overall communications plan, and practical methods for determining the right equipment for specific scenarios, including considerations for range, reliability, and redundancy.
There will also be a walk-through of a fully prepared go-bag, with explanations of how each component is used in real-world operations.
This class can be taken in conjunction with the Developing Communications Plans Seminar and the Basic Antenna Theory with Antenna Build Workshop.
